Place 5 or 6 cups of sliced apples in the bottom of pan.

1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 egg unbeaten

Directions:

Mix well with fork and put on apples. Pour over all, 1/3 cup of melted shortening and sprinkle with 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon.

Bake at 350º for 30 to 40 minutes.
