3 c self-rising flour
3 tbsp sugar
1 can (12 oz) beer (lite or regular

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the ingredients until blended, but do not over-mix. Spoon into a greased bread pan and bake at 375º for 40 to 45 minutes, or until top is golden. Remove from pan and cool on rack. Whole wheat
flour can be substituted for 1 cup of the self-rising.
Add 1/4 tsp salt and 1 1/2 tsp baking powder.

My mother-in-law Lilly used to make this a lot and got me hooked on it. She never liked to buy the beer, so asked me to get it for her! I love it!
