1 c butter or margarine
1 c sugar
1 c sifted confectioner sugar
2 eggs
1 c cooking oil
1 tsp vanilla
4 c sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs one a time beating well after each addition. Blend in oil and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, mix well. Chill dough in refrigerator 8 hours or overnight. Shape dough in balls the size of walnut. Place balls about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350º 10-12 minutes or until done. Remove from baking sheets and cool on racks.
