Almond Sausage Casserole Recipe

1 lb. sausage, crumbled, browned, and drained
3/4 cup raw rice
1/4 cup parsley flakes
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup slivered almonds

After browning sausage, drain, reserving 3 tbsp. grease.

Simmer onion, pepper and celery until tender.

Add sausage, soup rice and parsley flakes and water. Mix well.

Spoon into greased casserole and top with slivered almonds.

Bake uncovered at 350 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
