1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
4 cups flour (may need to add more to make dough not sticky)
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Add vanilla and milk, then dry ingredients. Dough should be stiff. Roll out 1/2 inch thick. Cut out cookies. Bake at 350 degrees 12 to 14 minutes.
