1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. margarine, softened
1 c. sugar
1 large egg
1 t. vanilla
2 t. baking powder
3 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. In large bowl cream butter, margarine and sugar with electric mixer. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add baking powder and flour, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. The dough will be very stiff. Divide dough into 2 balls. On floured surface, roll each ball into a 12" circle and about 1/8 inch thick. Dip cutters in flour before each use. Bake cookies on ungreased cookie sheet for 6-7 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned. Cool completely and frost and decorate as desired.
