4 lbs. sweet potatoes
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups sugar (1/2 light brown)
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup orange juice
1 stick margarine
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Topping:
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1/2 stick margarine
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. each cinnamon, nutmeg
3/4 cup pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Slice and cook potatoes in salted water, covered. Cook until tender. Mash and whip potatoes until light and fluffy.

Add butter, orange juice and spices.

Pour into 9 x 13" baking dish.

After mixing topping ingredients together, pour over potato mixture.

Bake at 375º for 40-45 minutes.

This is a classic Thanksgiving casserole and a personal favorite of mine. My children love it as well.
