2 c raisins (1/2 light, 1/2 dark)
3 1/2 c water
2 c sugar
1 pt Whiskey (2 cups)

Directions:
Directions:
In large pan, combine raisins and water. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Add
sugar. Stir until dissolved. Remove from heat. Add whiskey. Fill 4 (hot) pint jars. Let stand one month.

This was usually made around Thanksgiving and served on "Old" Year's Eve.
