Cake:
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
6 Tbsp cocoa
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
2/3 cup oil
1 tsp vinegar
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups cold water

Icing:
3 tbsp corn starch
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup crisco
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Chocolate topping:
6 tbsp cocoa
1 stick and 3 tbsp margarine
2 1/2 tbsp hot water
3 cups powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350º
Cake:
Mix all the ingredients and bake for 20 minutes in greased and floured jelly roll pan. Cool completely.

Cornstarch Icing
Cook the cornstarch and 1 1/2 cup milk until like pudding. Refrigerate until ice cold. Then cream the rest of the cornstarch icing ingredients. Add the cornstarch mixture a spoonful at a time and mix well after each. Spread on cake and put in freezer.

Chocolate Topping:
Mix all ingredients together and spread on white layer. Put Cake in refrigerator until serving.

This was really the only cake that mom made regularly and it really does taste like a Ho Ho.
