4 medium apples
3 cups sifted flour
4 tsp sugar
3 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt
4 eggs
1/2cup orange juice
1 ½ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup oil

Directions:
Directions:
Grease and flour 9 inch tube pan. Peel, core and slice apples in separate bowl. Mix cinnamon (2teaspoons) and sugar (4 teaspoons). Beat eggs thick, gradually beat in sugar, then oil. Resift flour with baking powder and salt. Add to beaten eggs alternately with additions of orange juice. Beat in 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour ¼ batter into pan. Arrange 1/3 apples over top. Sprinkle sugar/cinnamon mix. Repeat twice. Top with last of dough. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees.
