1 C. water
1 C. butter (2 sticks)
3/4 C. sugar
2 tsp salt
1 C. cold water
2 25 oz. pkgs. Yeast (2 and 1/4 tsp.)
1/2 C. warm water
4 eggs beaten
7 and 1/2 C. flour

In a 6 quart pan bring 1 c. water to a boil. Add the butter, sugar and salt. Remove from heat. Add 1 c. cold water.

Dissolve yeast in 1/2 c. of warm water (not hot).

When first mixture is lukewarm, add yeast mixture and beaten eggs. Stir briefly, add flour and mix well.

Cover pan with lid and refrigerate overnight. When ready to roll out, divide dough in thirds. Lightly flour surface and roll out into a large circle about 1/2 thick. Spread 1/3 of filling onto rolled dough. Using a pizza cutter cut dough into 12 wedges. Roll each wedge, beginning at the wide end, to form a crescent shape. Repeat steps above for remaining dough.

Place crescents on 3 greased baking sheets (12 per sheet) and let rise until doubled (about 4 hours).

Bake at 400 degrees for about 12 minutes. Glaze while still warm.
