Cake ingredients:
1 Lg can fruit cocktail in heavy syrup, Do not drain
2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
2 eggs, beaten

Topping:
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

Icing:
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1 small evaporated milk
1 Tbsp vanilla extract

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350ºF
Mix together all cake ingredients. Pour into a
13x9x2 inch pan. Mix pecans and brown sugar together and sprinkle on top of cake. Bake 1 hour.
About 10 minutes before cake is done, combine the topping ingredients in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Cool. Add vanilla. Pour over cake. Cool. Refrigerate.
