"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 packages pizza crust mix (I used Martha White)
1 c. hot water
2 tsp. oil
6 oz. pepperoni (chopped into small pieces)
6 oz. sausage (chopped, leftover breakfast sausage works fine)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 475º. Grease large cookie sheet (large Silpat cooking sheet works great if you have one). Mix dough according to package directions (mine uses hot water). Shape into ball and brush with oil. Cover, let stand 5 minutes. Mix pepperoni and sausage into the dough ball, kneading it gently into dough. Don't be too rough or dough will get tough. Spread dough mixture onto greased cookie sheet. Brush with oil. Bake for approximate 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Personal Notes:
This is a recipe created with help from my five-year-old daughter, Anna Brooks. She doesn't like cheese or tomatoes, so we finally found a way to have pizza like all her friends! Her friends like it too, especially when we add mozzarella cheese on top about halfway thru the cooking time.
