1 1/2 c raisins
1 1/2 c boiling water
2 tbsp shortening
2 tsp baking soda
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c sugar
1 1/4 c flour
2 c bran flakes

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over raisins. Cool to lukewarm. Add shortening and baking soda. Mix eggs, sugar, flour, and bran flakes. Combine with raisins. Place in greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until toothpick comes clean. Makes 2 small loaves or 1 big one
