2 cups cornmeal
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups buttermilk
1/3 cup crisco, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 425º. Mix dry ingredients. Add buttermilk and eggs. Melt crisco in an iron skillet. Pour melted crisco into batter and mix. Pour batter back into hot skillet. It should sizzle. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove cornbread from pan immediately to prevent sticking.
