3 lb. chopped green tomatoes
3 lb. apple chopped
8 cups brown sugar/ 3 lb.
1 cup vinegar
2 or 3 lb. rasins
2 T grated orange peel
2 tsp. salt
Beef suet
1 T. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. clove
(optional: 1 quart sour pie cherries)

Directions:
Directions:
Chop tomatoes and cover with boiling water. Let stand 10 minutes and drain; do this 3 times. Add: apple, sugar, salt and suet. Cook until clear. Add remaining ingredients cook until thick.
Put in hot jars and seal. Makes 4-5 quarts; 5 if use 1 quart of cherries.
