1 large apple pared, cored and sliced
1 cup cider vinegar
¼ cup chopped pitted dates
¼ cup chopped green pepper
½ lemon sliced and seeded
1/8 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon salt
¾ cup packed light brown sugar
3 cups sliced bananas (about 5)
1 cup chopped onion
¼ tablespoon chopped candied ginger
½ cups walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Slice apple into 3 quarts saucepan, add vinegar. Add remaining ingredients except bananas. Slice 3 bananas and add to saucepan. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and cook, stirring frequently over medium low heat for 15 minutes. Slice remaining 2 bananas, add to saucepan and cook 15 minutes longer. Store in refrigerator. Makes 1 quart.
