1 c. plus 2 tbl. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter or shortening (softened)
6 tbl. granulated sugar
6 tbl. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. water
1 egg
1/2 c. nuts, chopped (optional)
1 c. (6 oz. package) chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
Blend butter, sugars, vanilla and water. Beat in the egg.
Mix flour mixture into butter/sugar mixture.
Spread in greased 9 x 13" pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top of batter.
Place in oven for 1 minute. Remove from oven and run knife thru batter to marble mixture. Return to oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool and cut.
