1 lb. round steak, 1" thick
1/4 c. butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
4 T. soy sauce
1/2 t. sugar
1 can bean sprouts
2 tomatoes, quartered or 1 c. canned
1 green peppers, cut in 1" pieces
1/2 T. cornstarch
2 T. cold water
4 green onions, chopped

Serves: 4-6
Preparation Time: 30 min.

Slice steak as thinly as possible in short crosswise pieces. Heat butter and saute garlic, salt and pepper. Add beef, cook until browned. Add soy sauce, sugar, green pepper and tomatoes. Cook 5 minutes. Stir in cornstarch dissolved in water. Cook until thickened, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped green onions. Serve with rice.
