1 c. water

Yield: 8-10 ornaments

In a large saucepan, mix ingredients and stir over low heat until dough is like mashed potatoes. Let dough cool, covering with damp cloth to prevent drying, then store in Zip-lock bag until ready to roll. Roll dough to about 1/4 in. thick. Cut into desired shapes. Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 200º for 3 hours.

I made these with my 1st graders, using a film container to cut out a hole in the center before baking. After painting, we glued their picture to the back of the opening, then covered with felt and added a magnet. You could also use a straw to make a hole at the top for a ribbon hanger.
