Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 15-oz. can tomato sauce
2 cans whole tomatoes, cut or use stewed
1/2 envelope dry onion soup mix
3/4 t. or more oregano
1/4 t. or more basil
Parmesan cheese, grated
1 t. olive oil
garlic salt to taste
1 lb. ground chuck
1 carton cottage cheese
1 egg
2 pkg. mozzarella cheese, sliced
lasagna noodles (6 or 9 sheets)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first five ingredients in sauce pan. Bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer. Heat olive oil in skillet. Add hamburger meat and garlic salt. Brown meat until it loses its red color. Add meat and drippings to sauce mixture and simmer uncovered for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Cook noodles according to directions on package. (I add a little olive oil to the water, it keeps them from sticking together.) Mix together egg and cottage cheese. In 13x9x2" baking pan (I use glass Pyrex) spread about 1/2 cup sauce, then 1/2 of noodles, 1/2 of egg mixture, 1/2 of Mozzarella cheese, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, then layer again with sauce, noodles etc... Top with Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil. Bake at 350º for 30-40 minutes. Remove and allow to stand 15 minutes before serving. Serves 8. Delicious.!
