Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 lb. ground beef
3 gloves of garlic, minced
1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
Worcestershire sauce, to taste
2 bay leaves
3 lrg. can whole tomatoes
1 c. burgundy wine (optional)
1 med onion, finely chopped
2 chopped green peppers
1 stalk celery hearts chopped
oregano to taste
salt to taste
1 sm can tomato paste

Directions:
Directions:
In 1 T. olive oil saute onion, green peppers, celery, garlic, mushrooms. Brown the ground beef and drain thoroughly! Add oregano (I usually cover the ground beef by sprinkling the oregano over it.) Add bay leaves, wine, tomatoes and tomato paste. Then I begin adding the Worcestershire sauce and salt. I put four or five dashes to begin with then taste it, wait about ten minutes of simmering then taste. If it tastes too sweet then add more Worcestershire sauce and salt. Let this simmer for about three hours. Feel free to add more oregano or bay leaf. I usually go back every thirty minutes or so to taste and season.
