Ingredients: 10 c. ground cucumbers 2-1/4 c. vinegar 2 t. celery salt 1 t. each dry mustard, turmeric, cornstarch, black pepper 4 c. ground onions 4-1/2 c. sugar 1/3 c. salt

Directions: |
Directions:Mix cucumbers and onions together. Cover with the salt and allow to sit overnight. Next morning, rinse and drain. Make a thin syrup of the rest of the ingredients. Pour over the cucumber-onion mixture. Bring to a boil and simmer 30 minutes. Pour into hot sterile jars and seal. |

Zell and I were graduate school classmates and shared an office when we were both working on our master's degrees in history at the University of Georgia
