1 can kale
1/2 c rice
1 1/2 quart cut up potatoes
1 or 2 tsp bacon grease
1/2 tsp baking powder

Put kale (juice and all) and rice in 1 1/2 qt. pan.
When almost boiling, add rice. (Stir often) Cook
about 3/4 hour.
Put potatoes in 3 qt. pan. Just almost cover with boiling water. Drain, keeping some of the water.
Mash potatoes, add kale and mix again.
Add bacon grease, salt, and baking powder.
Mash some more.
If dry add more potato water or hot water.
