2 ½ cups regular flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
½ cup salad oil
½ cup raisins
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon cloves
1 cup sugar
1 ½ cups artichoke pulp*
½ cups nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Measure dry ingredients and sift together in a bowl. Add oil and artichoke pulp and beat for 2 minutes with electric better or about 150 strokes by hand. Add unbeaten eggs and beat for 2 minutes more. Fold in chopped nuts and raisins. Line a 9” square pan with waxed paper and bake in moderate oven 350 degrees for 30 - 35 minutes.

* Artichoke pulp is made by cooking artichoke hearts until tender and putting them through a colander.
