½ cup (1stick) butter or margarine
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs slightly beaten
2 cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons soda
1 can crushed pineapple
¾ cup chopped pecans
1 cup brown sugar (packed)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter with white sugar. Beat in eggs until smooth. Sift flower, measure and sift again with salt and soda. Blend dry ingredients with creamed mixture. Mix in pineapple including liquid, spoon into greased 8” x 12” pan.

Topping:

Combine nuts and brown sugar. Sprinkle over top. Bake in moderate oven 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve hot or cold with whipping cream or ice cream.
