¼ cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 ½ cups flour
½ cup milk
1 cup chopped prunes
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon allspice

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter with sugar, add beaten eggs. Sift flour with spices. Alternate with milk, add prunes. Add baking soda dissolved in 1 tablespoon boiling water. Bake 2 layers about 30 to 35 minutes in 375 degree oven. To serve, put chopped nutmeats and whipped cream between layers.
