3 c pecans
1 lb chopped dates
1 c marachino cherries, halved.
3/4 c flour
3/4 c sugar
1/2 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp rum or rum extract

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add nut mixture to coat. In another bowl, beat eggs and vanilla until foamy. Add to nut mixture. Grease and line bread pan with wax paper. Bake at 300º for 2 hour, 45 minutes. Cool 10 min before removing from pan Baste with 1 tsp rum or rum extract. Wrap in foil and refrigerate.
