1 lb. hamburger
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons salad oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon sage
1 large onion minced
1 teaspoon Thyme
1 clove garlic (whole)
1 ˝ teaspoons Chile powder
2 cups canned or cooked kidney beans
2 ˝ cups canned tomatoes (if whole, cut into chunks)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat salad oil in large skillet. Add minced onion and garlic. Sauté 3 minutes until brown, then remove the whole garlic. Add chopped meat and cook until lightly browned. Stir the meat with fork to keep it loose and crumbly. Add cooked or canned beans, salt, spices and tomatoes. Mix all ingredients lightly. Cover pan and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes. Do not boil. Serve the stew piping hot in a nest of fluffy riced potatoes or over rice. Garnish with parsley.
