5 lbs peaches
3 1/2 lbs sugar
16 oz jar maraschino cherries, drained

Yields: 10 eight ounce jars
Preparation Time: 1-2 hours

Sterilize jelly jars and lids in advance. Peel peaches and chop. Mash with potato masher. Chop maraschino cherries finely. Put ingredients into a 5 quart kettle and mix in sugar. Bring to a boil. Stir frequently. Boil for 1 hour or until thick. Pour into jars and seal with lids while jam is very hot. Cool to room temperature then refrigerate.
