2 - 2 1/2 lbs. Sirloin steak or top round
1 tablespoon butter
1 minced onion

Sauce
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons flour
2 beef bouillon cubes
2 cups boiling water
Dash Tabasco
¾ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon catsup
1 tablespoon worcestshire sauce
½ cup sour cream
½ lb. sliced sautéed fresh mushrooms

Cut meat into 1 inch by ¼ inch strips. Cook in skillet in 1 tablespoon butter until meat looses its red color. Add 1 minced onion and cook 5 minutes. Put meat and onion mixture into casserole and set aside.
For sauce, in a saucepan melt 1 tablespoon butter, blend 2 tablespoons flour. In another saucepan add beef bouillon cubes and 2 cups boiling water and mix. Then add the water mixture slowly to the flour mixture and stir or beat until slightly thickened. Add in catsup, mustard and worsetshire beating the mixture the entire time. Beat in ½ cup sour cream, and lastly add mushrooms. Poor sauce over meat, cover casserole with lid or foil, bake in low oven (250 degrees) until served. Delicious over rice or wide egg noodles.
