2/3 c shortening
1 1/2 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs



1 1/2 c flour
1/3 c cocoa
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 c chocolate chips (12 oz pkg)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Cream first 5 ingredients. Mix in dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 7-9 minutes, until they are set. Do not overbake - the cookies will appear soft and moist. Cool for 2 minutes on cookie sheet. Then remove to foil to cool completely.
