3 cups low-fat milk
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons chopped raisins
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 cup low-fat milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat all ingredients except 1/2 cup milk to boiling in 2-quart saucepan, stirring occasionally; reduce heat to medium. Cook 18 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender and all milk is absorbed; remove from heat. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup milk. Serve warm or chilled.
