Olive oil
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 large can tomato sauce
1 small can tomato paste
1 can petite diced tomatoes
2 bay leaves, crumbled
2 tbsp. dried oregano

1/4 c. reserved sauce (see above)
1/4 c. Italian breadcrumbs

Directions:
1. Saute sausages and garlic in olive oil in large sauce pan until sausages are browned. Puncture the sausages and stir juices into the olive oil.

2. Add tomato sauce, paste, diced tomatoes. Add seasonings. Stir to combine. Bring to gentle boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 2 hours or, as long as you like, stirring occasionally.

3. To prepare meatballs, combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs and reserved sauce from above. Form by hand. 1 hour before sauce is finished, place meatballs in sauce to cook. Don't stir sauce after meatballs have been placed in sauce.

Serve over your favorite pasta!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Joel's grandparents were from Italy. This is the same spaghetti sauce that his grandmother and mother made. Now Joel fixes it for our family. He takes immense pleasure in seeing Kyler, Isabella and Sofia's faces covered in "Daddy's Spaghetti"!
