2 pkg. of lady fingers or Pound Cake
2 cans sweetened condensed milk
1 t. lemon grated rind
2/3 c. lemon juice
8 eggs separated
1/2 t. cream of tartar

1 pt. Whipping cream
1/3 c. powder sugar
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Line sides and bottom of 9" spring form pan with Lady Fingers or thin slices of pound cake. When placing the cake around the side of the pan, cut the pieces in half length wise. It should take 16 pieces of cake to fit around the pan.
Blend milk, egg yolks, lemon rind and juice. Beat until thick and creamy.

In separate pan beat egg whites and cream of tartar unit stiff.

Fold egg whites into the batter.

Bake at 325 for 25 minutes. Cool and freeze.


Let sit for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve with whipped cream.

Whipped Cream;
Beat cream until stiff, add powdered sugar and vanilla. By using powdered sugar the cream will not separate and get watery when stored in the refrigerator for several days.
