1 1/2 c sugar
1 tsp salt
1 c oil
1 tsp soda
3 eggs
1 c buttermilk
2 c flour
1 c pecans
1 tsp nutmeg
1 c chopped prunes
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla


Sauce:
1 c sugar
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 c buttermilk
1 Tbsp corn syrup
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. Bake in 9 x 13 pan for 40 min at 325º. Start sauce about 20 min. before cake comes out of oven: Cook over medium heat to softball stage. Pour over hot cake immediately.
