1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup whipping cream
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1 package devil's food cake mix
1 1/4 cups water
1/3 cup oil
3 eggs

Topping:
1 3/4 cups whipping cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

Heat oven to 325º.

In small saucepan, combine butter, 1/4 cup whippng cream and brown sugar. Cook over low heat until butter is melted. Pour into 13 x 9 baking dish.; sprinkle evenly with chopped pecans.

In large bowl, combine remaining cake ingredients. Carefull spoon 1/2 of batter over pecans around edge of pan; spoon remaining batter into center of pan.

Bake at 325º for 50-60 minutes. Cool 5 minutes; invert onto serving platter.

In small bowl, beat 1 3/4 cups whipping cream until soft peaks form. Blend in powdered sugar and vanilla; beat until stiff peaks form.

Frost cake.
