6 slices bread butter or margarine
1 pound of bulk pork sausage
1-1/2 cups shedded longhorn cheese
6 eggs, beaten
2 cups half-and half
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Remove crust from bread. Spread bread with
butter
2. Place bread in greased two- or three-quart
baking dish (or 9-by-13 inch pan. Set aside.
3. Cook sausage until brown, then drain. Spoon
over bread slices.
4. Sprinkle with cheese.
5. Combine eggs, half-and half, and salt. Mix
well. Pour over cheese.
6. Cover casserole and chill overnight. Remove
from fridge fifteen minutes before baking.
7. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for forty-five
minutes, or until set.
