Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. water, 110 degrees
4 c. flour
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, very soft
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix yeast and water together and set aside to proof. Using a stand mixer, combine flour and salt, then add sour cream, butter, eggs and vanilla. Mix in yeast mixture. Chill for at least 1 hour.

In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon, adding more cinnamon to your taste. Place sugar mix on a flat rolling surface. In three or 4 batches, roll dough out flat to a thickness of approximately 1/4", turning over so there is sugar mix on both sides. Cut dough into strips of 1" x 5" and twist once or twice, and place on baking sheet. Bake at 350º for 10-15 minutes until puffy and golden, crisp yet chewy.

Personal Notes:
These cookies are best served the day they are made. Dough can be made ahead and frozen in disks for fresh cookies on demand! Thaw dough in refrigerator.
