1 cup boiling water
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1/6 cup shortening
1 pkg. yeast
1/8 cup lukewarm water
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1 egg
4 cups flour

Syrup for Cinnamon rolls
1 cup Lt brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
2 tbsp. corn syrup
1/4 cup water

Directions:
Mix boiling water, sugar, salt, and shortening together let cool to lukewarm. Mix yeast, water and sugar aside until the above is cool. Put the above mixtures together and add egg and half the flour mix well, then add res of flour. DO NOT KNEED DOUGH!
Roll dough out to about 1/2" thick. Melt 1 stick butter-brush dough. Mix 1 Tbsp. cinnamon with 1 cup light brown sugar - sprinkle on dough.
Add syrup ingredient's together in sauce pan and heat until bubbly.
Grease pans. Pour cooled syrup in pans. Roll dough up and seal edges and ends. Cut roll in 3/4 " slices. Place in pan. Bake at 375º for 2- to 25 minutes. when done let stand in pan 5 minutes before putting them out on plate.
