6 C. sliced Cucumbers
1 large Onion, sliced thin
3 C. Sugar
2 C. Cider Vinegar
1 Tbsp. Mustard seed
1/2 tsp. Turmeric powder
scant 1/3 C. non-iodized Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle salt over sliced cucumbers and onions, let stand overnight in ice cold water. In the morning, rinse salt off of cucumbers and onions.
In a saucepan combine sugar, vinegar, mustard seed, and turmeric powder, bring to a full boil.
Place cucumbers and onions in a glass bowl. Pour syrup over cucumbers and onions.
Let sit for 3-4 days. Place in jars, cover, and refrigerate.
