1 1/2 lbs round steak
1 tablespoon oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 envelope brown gravy mix
1 1/2 cups water
2 tablespoons white (or red wine) vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
Hot buttered noodles

Cut beef into thin strips.

In skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add beef strips and brown quickly; add chopped onion and cook until tender.

Remove beef and onion from skillet; add gravy mix and water. Bring to a boil, stirring contantly. Stir in vinegar, brown sugar, salt, pepper, ginger, and worcestershire sauce. Add beef mixture back into pan. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.

Serve with hot buttered noodles.
