8 slices Vienna Bread
6 TBSP butter
8 cooked ham slices
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 eggs
2/3 cup whipping cream
salt and pepper to taste
pinch of nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Pre heat oven to 400º
Spread each slice of bread with butter, place bread buttered side down in 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Place ham and cheese evenly over bread. Beat eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg together and pour over bread evenly. Bake for 20 to 25 mins, or til browned and kinda puffy.

This is good, it's quick and sort of like a Monte Cristo sandwich only open faced. My Godmother, Lou White, fixed this when I visited them in Phoenix, in the late 70's. She made cheesy taters, and a big green salad and Brunch was served.
