1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 lb. candy orange slices (cut up)
8 oz. pitted dates
3 oz. flaked coconut
2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the 1/2c. flour with the dates and orange slices to prevent them from sticking. Mix remaining ingredients and pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 300 for 2 hours.
Topping: 1 c. orange juice, 2 c. powdered sugar. Mix together pour over hot cake. Let stand in pan over night.
