1/2 c. Corn Meal
2 Heaping tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 c. Sugar
2 c. Aristos Flour
1 tsp. Salt
1 1/2 c. Boiling Water
1 1/4 c. Milk
1 Egg
2 tbsp. Melted Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Add meal to boiling water, let boil for five (5) minutes, add milk, mix dry ingredients, beaten egg and butter; cook on hot griddle.

CORN MEAL CAKES: Scald a pint of fine corn meal in boiling milk, add a little salt, let simmer half an hour, drop from a spoon on a hot griddle and brown on both sides; Eat with butter and syrup.
