1 lb hamburger,
1/4 lb Italian sausage,
1 clove garlic, (minced)
1 Tbsp whole basil,
1 1/2 tsp salt,
1 can tomato paste,
2 cans tomato sauce,
10 oz lasagne or wide noodles,
2 cups ricotta,
1 cup creamy cottage cheese,
1/2 cup grated parmesan or romano cheese,
2 Tbsp parsley flakes,
2 beaten eggs,
2 tsp salt,
1/2 tsp pepper,
1 lb mozzarella cheese/grated,

Directions:
Brown meat slowly, spoon off excess fat. Add next 5 ingredients. Simmer uncovered 30 min stirring occasionally. Cook noodles in large amount boiling salted water untill tender, drain, rinse. Combine remaining ingredients except mozzarella cheese. Place half of noodles in 13 x 9 x 2 inch dish, spread with half cottage cheese and half mozzarella and half meat sauce. Repeat, bake at 375 degree about 30 min.
