1 stick butter – melted
1½ cup sugar
3 eggs
3 – 4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder per cup of flour
1 tsp soda
2 tbsp vanilla

7 MINUTE FROSTING
2 egg whites
1½ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon cream of tarter or 1 tablespoon karo syrup
1/3 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together adding flour until you can make a ball of dough
Roll out and cut with cookie cutter
Place on greased and floured cookie sheet
Bake at 400º for 6 – 8 minutes

7 MINUTE FROSTING
Mix ingredients and place in a double boiler over boiling water
Beat with mixer until mixture stands in stiff peaks (about 7 minutes)
Scrape sides and bottom occasionally
Fold in 1-teaspoon vanilla
Add food coloring if desired
Spread in thin layer on cooled cookies
Icing will harden as it stands awhile on cookies
