Ingredients:  
1 ½ cups sugar
½ cup white karo syrup
¼ cup water
2 cups shelled peanuts – raw
1 teaspoon soda
¼ teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first three ingredients and bring to boil
Slowly add peanuts – boil until peanuts pop (stirring constantly)
Remove from fire add soda and salt
Stir well until peanuts start “browning”
Pour in well greased flat cookie sheet or pan
After it cools break into pieces

This is William's dad's recipe. It has been a family favorite for years. Christmas is not complete without Paw Paw's peanut brittle.
