1 lb. ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
1 16 oz. jar picante sauce
1 egg, beaten
1 unbaked 9" pie shell
1-1.2 c shredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided
1/3 c. tortilla chips, broken

Garnish: Shredded lettuce
Tomatoes
Sour cream
Cheddar cheese, shredded
Sliced jalapenos

Directions:
Brown ground beef, drain. Add seasoning mix to meat and mix well. In small bowl, mix picante sauce and beaten egg. Pour egg/sauce mixture into meat mixture and mix well. In bottom of 9" pie shell, sprinkle 1/2 c. cheese. Pour meat mixture over cheese, then cover with remaining cheese. Top with broken tortilla chips. Bake in preheated 350º oven for 20-25 minutes. Serve with garnishes.
