Mexi Taco Pie Recipe

1 lb. ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
1 16 oz. jar picante sauce
1 egg, beaten
1 unbaked 9" pie shell
1-1.2 c shredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided
1/3 c. tortilla chips, broken

Garnish: Shredded lettuce
Sour cream
Cheddar cheese, shredded
Sliced jalapenos

Brown ground beef, drain. Add seasoning mix to meat and mix well. In small bowl, mix picante sauce and beaten egg. Pour egg/sauce mixture into meat mixture and mix well. In bottom of 9" pie shell, sprinkle 1/2 c. cheese. Pour meat mixture over cheese, then cover with remaining cheese. Top with broken tortilla chips. Bake in preheated 350 oven for 20-25 minutes. Serve with garnishes.
