2 cup brown sugar
1 cup boiling water
1 tbsp. butter
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup nuts
3/4 cup chopped dates

Directions:
Directions:
Place butter and 1 cup brown sugar and water in a small sauce pan and bring to a boil. Pour into 8x8 baking dish. Mix 1 cup brown sugar and all other ingredients in a large bowl and stir until mixed. Drop by spoonfuls into liquid and bake at 375 º for 25-30 minutes. Cut in squares and serve with a dollop of whipped cream.
